JIA HOME CO.

JIA Home Co. is an apothecary company based in the San Francisco Bay Area and specializes in Asian-Inspired Fragrances. The founder was driven to produce scents representative of her Asian heritage, in hopes of evoking nostalgia for the greater AAPI community and beyond, as many fragrances in the west did not reflect the scents that were part of her upbringing. In addition to creating fragrances in-studio, candle-making workshops are offered onsite in Berkeley, CA and offsite for corporate teams.

I served as the Marketing Manager and oversaw social media, content strategy, paid social, creative production, and event marketing.

EVENTS & WORKSHOPS

Kimi & Ono

Role: Content Strategist & Designer

Objective/goal: Promote a giveaway collaboration with Kimi & Ono to drive brand awareness and community engagement.

Strategy: Deploy a giveaway in collaboration with Kimi & Ono, an Asian-American founded lingerie brand. Center the campaign around themes of self-care and relaxation.

Deliverables: Social media post on Instagram using product images, brand logos, and caption copy.

Results: Engagement rate increased 86%, instagram following grew 60% with overall positive sentiment from the audience.

Yelp

Role: Content Strategist & Designer

Objective/goal: Promote a workshop giveaway in collaboration with Yelp Bay Area to boost social media engagement and brand awareness. We received the opportunity to be featured on Yelp Bay Area’s Instagram page as part of their local activities initiative.

Strategy: I worked with Yelp Bay Area’s Account Manager to determine the giveaway prize and provided caption copy direction that adhered to JIĀ Home Co.’s brand guidelines. The video was filmed and edited by Yelp’s social media team

Influencer Partnerships

Sitynoms

Objective/goal: Implement an influencer partnership to help promote the brand’s workshops and products.

Strategy: I identified a local influencer in the SF Bay Area who specializes in lifestyle and travel content and had a robust following. I negotiated a contract containing content usage rights and devised a budget + invoice.

Deliverables: Video reel on Instagram filmed and edited by the affiliate.

Results: Increased CPA by 40% driving overall revenue up 128%.
